Waste Management has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Route Manager to manage the hauling site operations for all lines of business in Fairview, New Jersey. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong managemern skills and experience managing managers who oversee truck hauling operations for one district.
I. Job Summary
Manages collection routes and driver/laborer performance on a daily basis at a single, large hauling site. Supervises Route Managers and Drivers from multiple lines of business: Residential, Commercial, Roll-Off, Port-to-let, Tractor Trailer, HCS, Bagster (does not include Oilfield Services)
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises drivers in the districts from all lines of businesses. Mentor/Coach less experienced Route Managers.
Direct reports will conssit of route managers and operations specialists
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Education: Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience: 3 years of work experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations (in addition to education requirement)
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Ability to coach, train and mentor
Ability to manage managers and provide evaluation and guidance
Ability to participate in the district's profit & loss review and report out on performance metrics regularly
